The sour cherries and the black cherries are put to macerate separately with their skins and stones in extra fine alcohol.

After a number of weeks in the cool darkness of the tanks, the fruit has impregnated the liquid with its aroma and colour. By blending these different types of cherry Briottet obtain a bouquet that ideally releases its roundness mixed with the taste of its stone and the freshness of the cherry picked from the orchard.

Briottet's Creme de Cerise is delicious served with white wines, cremants and champagnes, or it can be included in a number of cocktails.

Producer Information

Briottet SA. is a family business founded in 1836. Initially wine merchants, they later contribued to the development of the aperitif " Blanc Cassis ", the production began to include regional liqueurs and in particular Creme de Cassis de Dijon which now represents 60% of the sales.
Briottet SA. produce approximately 3500 hl of liqueurs or base products.
Their sole sector of activity is the traditionnel network : cafes, bars, hotels, restaurants, wholesalers, wine shops, delicatessen and specialized shops.
Generations have succeeded genarations and today the Managing Director, Gérard Briottet, maintains tradition at 12 rue Berlier in Dijon. Magnificent vaulted cellars ensure the ageing of their " Marc de Bourgogne " (grappa) in 228 litres barrels and keeps their liqueurs at a constant temperature, away from the light.
