The quintessential Italian liqueur made from almonds and apricot kernels; invented in Saronno in 1525.

Tasting Notes : Sweet and fruity with warm weight, delicate aromas and tastes of apricot and almond, bitter hints clean up the finish.

Producer : Illva

Method of Production : Produced in Saronno, near lake Como in Italy. Almonds and apricot kernels are macerated in locally produced brandy. The smooth, mellow brandy takes on pungent fruit and nut aromas. The spirit is sweetened to give balance.

A really nice drink. Mix one dash of Disaronno Amearetto with one dash of brandy and add coke on ice. Lovely sweet drink.

Was introduced to it in Greece this summer, fell in love with it completely. Absolutely stunning and unique. Try it with 4 parts of good cola to 1 part of amaretto, some ice, nice......!
