Cruz de Piedra Garnacha
Product Code: 79794

Spain is rich in excellent vineyard sites, populated by gnarly old bush vines producing meagre yields of wonderful fruit. Cruz de Piedra is made in a modern-style but remains true to its mountainous, rugged roots.
Tasting Notes : Intense red berry flavours parry an attack of spice. Smooth as silk on the palate with great structure and balance.
Producer : Virgen de la Sierra
Method of Production : Hand-picked from 50 year old bush vines yielding tiny quantities of deliciously concentrated fruit, the grapes were destalked, crushed and fermented for 15 days in epoxy-lined tanks. Extended maceration for 2-3 weeks extracted colour, flavour and tannins. The wine was pressed off the skins, went through malolactic fermentation and then underwent a period of lees contact. After a gentle fining and filtration, the wine was bottled.
