With more history behind its name than most countries, Chateau Castera is nevertheless a thoroughly modern concern. The claret of choice for drinkers who don't slavishly follow the 100 point scale or own homes in several countries.

Tasting Notes : Classic claret. Deep red in colour with ripe red berry fruit, cassis and a hint of well integrated new oak.

Method of Production : Chateau Castera is well-located with vineyards bordering St Estephe and Pauillac. The grapes, from vines with an average age of 25 years, were fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel vats. The young wine was matured in oak barriques (30% new), racked every 3 months and then fined before bottling.
