Côtes du Luberon Domaine de la Longue Bastide

The Côtes du Luberon is one of those regions with a dual personality. Many see it as Provençal in style owing to its southerly location. Though technically it is to the north of the Durance river and so is part of the Southern Rhône. This is a soft and fruity wine, made for no nonsense, easy drinking.

Tasting Notes : Fresh, fruity and forward, with soft cherry aromas on the nose and crushed raspberries and more cherry on the medium-bodied palate.

Producer : Ralph Garcin

Method of Production : The estate-grown grapes were destemmed, crushed and cold soaked prior to being fermented in tank for 20 days. The Carignan was carbonically macerated to extract extra fruit flavours and softness. The wine then went through malolactic conversion and a period of lees ageing, after which it was bottled unfiltered.
