A lighter Late Bottled Vintage port which is a good alternative to the now defunct Crusted style.

Tasting Notes : Sweet and full to medium-bodied with smooth tannins and ripe, warm, plum and raisin fruit and cedar hints.

Method of Production : The grapes were hand-picked and taken to Quinta dol Sol, a very impressive modern winery. The grapes were crushed and macerated on their skins before being fermented in a stainless steel autovinificator. The wild yeasts were killed off by the addition of grape spirit after 36 hours. The young port was then matured for four years in oak casks before being sheet filtered, fined with bentonite and bottled.
