Gushing with enthusiasm, our buyer declared the wine to be 'a big beast.' And so it is, being ram-packed with luscious blackcurrant fruit and a sexy whack of mint before the long, dry finish. Here's to many more of Cédric Jenin's creations!

Tasting Notes : Deeply concentrated, with ripe black fruit and subtle menthol aromas entrenched around a muscular, yet elegant core.

Method of Production : Fermented in stainless steel tanks, the wine was then put in barrels (50% American and 50% French), a third of which was new oak. The Burgundian bâtonnage technique was used, imparting the wine with extra depth and complexity. Malolactic fermentation was also encouraged to provide a supple texture.

Full-bodied and rounded. A little bit overbearing for me but I'd take this in preference to the sweeter Aussie Cabernets.
