More Information

  • ABOUT THIS WINE: France's southern Rhone Valley is renowned for its rich, hearty, slightly spicy red wines. This fine, relatively soft and easy-going example is made from the classic French grapes Grenache, Syrah and Carignan grown on an old plain 15 kilometres north-east of Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

    PRESS RECOMMENDATIONS:
''...rejoice in this modern mini Châteauneuf-du-Pape made from Grenache, Syrah and Carignan grapes. Best with BBQ'd meats or Sunday roasts, this elegant chunky red bristles with dark chocolate spice and the fat earthy style you would expect from old, hand-harvested vines in this part of the world...''
Recommended by Jane MacQuitty, The Times, June 2008

SERVING: Serve at room temperature. This wine would make a great partner for barbecued red meats or peppery meat stews, or try it with roast chicken, or full-flavoured cheeses.

KEEPING: This wine is ready to drink now or open within 9 months of purchase. Once open, finish within 3 days, keeping the resealed bottle in a cool, dark spot between servings.

Licensing Act 2003: it is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
