ABOUT THIS WINE: Corbiéres is one of the prime red winemaking areas of the Languedoc, deep in the South of France. The warm, sunny weather here produces reds of great ripeness and concentration. This wine, made by the renowned producer Gerard Bertrand has been made from a blend of classic Southern French grapes, including Carignan, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre. It was aged in oak barrels for 8 months which has added spicy hints.
SERVING: Serve this wine at room temperature with hearty dishes such as rich meat casseroles, peppered steak or roast lamb. It goes well with full-flavoured cheeses too.
KEEPING: Although ready to drink now, you can keep this wine for up to one year after purchase. Once started, enjoy it within three days and store the bottle somewhere cool, resealing it between servings.

ABOUT THIS WINE: This is an easy-drinking, beautifully fruity example of modern red wine from the south of Burgundy in the Maconnais region. The fruit was sourced from the Prisse, Sologny and Verze communes. It has been made from Gamay, well-known as the grape variety behind Beaujolais and Pinot Noir. The result is a notably fresh, lively, red-berry aroma and flavour.
SERVING: Serve at room temperature, either with roast beef, or beef and pork casseroles, hot ham dishes, or try it with a plate of soft, creamy cheeses.
KEEPING: This wine is ready to drink now and it will keep well for a further year after purchase. Once opened, it will remain in good condition for 2 days if the bottle is resealed between servings and stored in a cool, dark spot.

ABOUT THIS WINE: The warm and dry region of Fitou, in the deep south-west of France, is renowned for its flavoursome ripe, spicy reds. This has been made from a blend of Carignan and Grenache grapes, two classic varieties of the South. The winemaker was Michel Marty, who specialises in producing full-bodied, robust reds, and the wine was made at the modern, high-tech Mont Tauch winery.
SERVING: Serve this at room temperature with stews, chops or sausages. It will go well with peppery or spicy dishes too, or try it with strong cheeses.
KEEPING: It's ready to drink now, and we recommend you enjoy this wine within one year of purchase. Once opened, it will remain in good condition for two days if you reseal the bottle and store it in a cool, dry place.
