More Information

  • ABOUT THIS WINE: Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhóne Valley is undoubtedly one of France's best loved wine regions, especially known for muscular heart-warming red wine. The Les Pradel vineyard is situated just north-west of Châteauneuf-du-Pape itself on some of the oldest soils of the area the 'Eclats Calcaires'.The winemaker Dider Couturier has chosen to use a large proportion of Grenache grapes combined with Syrah and Cinsault in the blend to give a hedonistic style of wine that perfectly radiates the warmth of the southern French sun.

SERVING: Serve at room temperature. This is a big wine that should be matched with full flavoured dishes such as rack of lamb with Provencal crust and rosemary roast potatoes, pan-fried duck breast or Spaghetti Puttanesca.

KEEPING: Although this wine is ready to drink now it will develop well over the next 5 years if kept in a cool dark place. Once opened it should be drunk within 3 days, with the bottle kept carefully re-sealed.

Licensing Act 2003: It is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
