ABOUT THIS WINE: Walter Schug was formerly at Joseph Phelps in the Napa. He started out on his own in Carneros in 1980, to concentrate on Chardonnay and Pinot. Mild summers cooled by proximity to the Pacific allow long slow maturation, low yields, and careful barrel use result in lovely balance in this almost Burgundian Chardonnay. This full-bodied, dry Chardonnay is a good match for roast chicken
