A sophisticated and elegant dry white. This has the classic character of fine Sancerre - it's succulent, very fresh and bone-dry, with a crisp lemon flavour and hint of materials. It's perfect for summer drinking

More Information

  • ABOUT THIS WINE: Sancerre is one of the great classic white wines of Loire Valley, and this premium example combines a crisp, dry, whistle-clean character - sometimes described as 'flinty' - with plenty of zesty fruit flavour. It has been made with 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes harvested from 30-year-old vines and it is unoaked. The winemaker was Daniel Brochard.

SERVING: Always serve Sancerre lightly chilled. It makes a mouth-watering aperitif, or pair it with mild cheeses (especially goat's cheese). Leafy salads or fresh tomatoes, and light fish dishes, like grilled trout.

KEEPING: This wine is ready to drink now, or consume within a year of purchase to capture its fresh lively character. Once opened, the wine will remain in good condition for a couple of days if the bottle is resealed and kept in a cool place.

Licensing Act 2003: it is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
