Once you dip your toe into the Languedoc it is very easy to get lost, not just because of the sheer amount of delicious wines, but because of the complexity and ambiguity of many of the appellations. This beautiful Syrah, Grenache & % Mourvèdre blend is from the eminently superior cru of La Clape (itself in the Coteaux du Languedoc AC) that is surely is on its way to its own super star status.
Tasting Notes : The nose is rich and intense with aromas of red and black berries with stewed plum depth and cracked black pepper spice. The palate is full to medium-bodied with blackcurrant and blackberry flavours plus cedary oak spice to finish.

Method of Production : The handpicked estate grown grapes from the La Clape cru were destemmed, crushed and cold soaked for 24 hours, after which fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks occurred for 12 days. The wines were then racked to one year old French oak barriques and matured on their lees for up to 12 months. The wine was gently filtered before being bottled.
