The oldest vines in this single vineyard are a grand old 80 years of age, bearing lovely ripe fruit. Situated 13 miles inland at St Christol, the vines maintain great levels of acidity, despite the summer heat.

Tasting Notes : Full of character - ripe red fruits, plums, raspberries and lots of spice. A seam of vanillin oak leads on to a long finish.

Producer : Domaine Clavel

Method of Production : Grown on loose, stony red soils, yields were restricted in order to producegood quality fruit. The parcels of grapes were picked and vinified separately. They grapes were destemmed, crushed and macerated for 30 days to ensure good extraction of colour, flavour and tannin from the skins. After fermentation in tank, racking and pressing, the wine was matured for 8 months before bottling.
