It was also much better on the second day of drinking, so open early, pour into a jug or decanter and drink from large glasses. Recommended by Victoria Moore, The Guardian, September 2008 ABOUT THIS WINE: Piedmont in north-west Italy is the home of the renowned Nebbiolo Grape which makes reds which are ripe and fruity, yet delicate and graceful at the same time. Winemaker Pietro Ratti has made this fine wine from 100% Nebbiolo, picked in the Langhe district of Piedmont. The wine was aged in oak for 1 year before bottling.
SERVING: Serve at room temperature. The perfect partners for this wine are grilled steak, rich roast game or full-flavoured cheeses.
KEEPING: This wine is ready to drink now but it will also keep well for 2 or 3 years, if stored correctly. Once opened, it will remain in a good condition for 2 days if the bottle is resealed and stored in a cool, dark place.
