"... elegant, sweetly oaked, well structured". Recommended by Tim Atkin MW, The Observer, June 2008
A tantalizing array of aromas and flavours - blackberry, blackcurrant, cinnamon, liquorice, vanilla, coconut, white pepper. This wine combines weight and intensity with an elegant fresh flavour
ABOUT THIS WINE: High up above the Duero valley at 650 meters above sea level this vineyard produces a small crop of slowly ripening Tempranillo grapes. Their fresh fruit flavours are preserved by controlled low-temperature fermentation. Winemaker Óscar Rodrigues has aged the wine in selected new oak casks to add richness and complexity. To retain flavour and complexity this wine has not been filtered during production. This may result in small harmless sediment forming over time in the bottom of the bottle.
PRESS RECOMMENDATIONS: ''...the elegant, sweetly oaked, well structured 2006 Nos Riqueza Ribera del Duero...'' Recommended by Tim Atkin MW, The Observer, June 2008
SERVING: Serve at room temperature. Its fresh style makes it an ideal accompaniment to roast and grilled meat. Its complexity and weight also makes it perfectly suitable for richer, spicier dishes.
KEEPING: This wine is ready to drink now but will keep well for a further six months from the date of purchase. Once opened it will remain in good condition for up to two days if resealed and stored in a cool, dark place.
