ABOUT THIS WINE: Eiswein is a rare and much prized style of dessert wine, made from late-harvested grapes, hand-picked while frozen in the early mornings of the autumn. The juice from this fruit is extremely concentrated and pure. This wine has been made from 100% Weissburgunder grapes, otherwise known as Pinot Blanc, grown in the Pfalz region of Germany, a country celebrated for making fine Eiswein. The winemaker was Helmut Darting.
SERVING: This wine is delicious served on its own, or pair it with fruit desserts, other light sweet puddings, or with mature cheeses. Ideal serving temperature range 8-12°C.
KEEPING: This wine is ready to drink now, and it will keep well for 2 more years if stored correctly. Once opened, keep the bottle in the fridge and finish in 3 days.
