A very good example of red Ribatejano. Aromas of raspberry and blackberry are accompanied by elegant overtones of oak (cinnamon, vanilla and a hint of cigar box). The palate is medium bodied. A harmonious blend of spice and persistent red-fruit flavours creates a wine of elegant complexity and length

More Information

  • ABOUT THIS WINE: A tradition of fine wine producing exists at the Casa Cadaval Estate since 1648. It was also one of the first in the region to introduce modern plantation and pruning methods some forty years ago. This wine is an intriguing blend of long established grape varieties (Aragonés and Trincadeira) with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. A short period in French oak adds to the complexity of the wine.

SERVING: We recommend this wine with grilled and roast red meat. However, its elegant and subtle flavours also make it an ideal accompaniment for quality white meat such as veal, free-range chicken and guinea fowl.

KEEPING: This wine is already drinking very well. It does not need any additional cellaring and we would recommend drinking within 2 years of purchase. Once opened the wine will remain in good condition for up to two days if the bottle is resealed and stored in a cool place.

Licensing Act 2003: it is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
