...from the up and coming saint chinian area, this is bright and concentrated with lots of gusty fruit characters. Drink with game, lamb. The Guardian, September 2008 ABOUT THIS WINE: Saint Chinian, one of the smallest appellations in the warm Languedoc, is renowned for its rich reds. This premium Syrah from the region comes from a single hillside vineyard. It was made by Laurent Miquel, whose family has farmed the same estate for over 300 years. Hints of the scent and flavour of the surrounding wild 'garrigue'(aromatic, herby scrubland) may be picked up in the character of this distinctive wine. It was aged in French oak barrels for 14 months.
SERVING: Serve at room temperature. This fine red makes the ideal partner for roast lamb or game dishes, or try it with mature hard cheeses.
KEEPING: This wine has been released ready for drink after barrel ageing and further maturation in bottle at the vinery. It will keep well however for a further two years if stored correctly. Once opened, finish within three days, keeping the bottle resealed and in a cool, dark place.
Licensing Act 2003: It is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
