SILVER MEDAL WINNER at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2008

A satisfyingly rich and concentrated red from the deep South of France. It has an inviting aroma of ripe blackberries and plums and there are warm hints of spice, liquorice and toffee on the flavour, plus a lingering finish

More Information

  • ABOUT THIS WINE: The Roussillon region of Southern France is currently one of the most exciting places in the world for producing full-bodied, fruity red wines. Long hours of hot sun here produce grapes of great ripeness and concentration. This fine example has been made from a classic region blend: 50% Syrah, 30% Carignan and 20% Mourvèdre, and the wine was aged in oak barrels for 12 months to add extra spice.

SERVING: Serve at room temperature, ideally with full-flavoured food such as roast red meat, beef casseroles, or mature cheeses.

KEEPING: This wine is ready to drink now but it will also keep well for a further 2 years if stored correctly. Once opened, the wine will remain in good condition for 3 days, if the bottle is resealed and kept in a cool spot.

Licensing Act 2003: It is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
