SILVER MEDAL WINNER at the International Wine Challenge 2008
A dry Condrieu of extraordinary concentration and complexity, this fine Rhône white wine has a deeply aromatic character, with floral notes and rich flavours of ripe peach, apricot and yellow plum
ABOUT THIS WINE: The tiny region of Condrieu in France's Rhone Valley is considered the best place in the world for the Viognier grape. The dry, hot summers and granite soils produce intensely flavoured, highly prized white wines, which express the true character of the variety. This wine is 100% Viognier, a proportion of which was aged by winemaker Pierre-Jean Villa in French oak barrels for 12 months.
SERVING: Serve lightly chilled. Condrieu is a sublime partner for rich, savoury food, such as smooth pates, mild creamy curries and luxury seafood dishes such as dressed crab and lobster.
KEEPING: This wine has been released ready to drink now but it will keep well for a further 2 years after purchase. Once opened, store in the fridge with the bottle resealed and finish in 2 days.
Licensing Act 2003: It is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
