More Information

  • ABOUT THIS WINE: This fine red wine was made from the fruit of mature Syrah and Mourvedre vines, aged between 30 and 50 years old. The fruit comes from the Blue Coast, an area of the Côteaux d'Aix between picturesque Berre Lake and the Mediterranean sea, where the hot climate of Southern France is tempered by cooler breezes. The result is a wine of unusual ripeness and full body, but delicious fresh fruit flavours when relatively young.Winemaker Jean Luc Colombo aged the wine in French oak barrels for 12 months to add further rich layers of flavour and a hint of spice.

SERVING: Serve at room temperature, ideally with robustly flavoured savoury dishes like roast lamb, peppery red meat casseroles or mature, hard cheeses such as farmhouse cheddar or parmesan.

KEEPING: This wine is ready to drink now and will keep well for a further 2 years if stored correctly, growing softer and more mellow over time. Once opened, finish in 3 days, keeping the resealed bottle in a cool, dark place between servings.

Licensing Act 2003: It is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
