A pure expression of Burgundian Pinot Noir perfume - violets and black cherries in the palette and soft, ripe-but-fresh blackcurrants finishing with a hint of strawberries
ABOUT THIS WINE: From grapes grown on the hillside next to Nuits-Saint-Georges where the wines are over 60 years old. The naturally concentrated grapes are cultivated without the use of chemicals or pesticides. This enhances the black fruit character and elegance that has epitomised the wine from the Côte de Nuits since around the 5th century AD.
SERVING: Rich meats, particularly Boeuf Bourguignon, will compliment the fresh fruit flavours. Quiches, creamy cheeses and other party food will also work well. Can also be served lightly chilled, ideally at cellar temperature, to best appreciate the pure fruit flavours.
KEEPING: This can be drunk now or laid down for up to 3 years if stored properly. Once opened it can be drunk within 2 day if re-sealed and kept cool.
Licensing Act 2003: it is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
