More Information

  • ABOUT THIS WINE: An impressive red Bordeaux from the renowned area around saint-emilion, this has been made mainly from Merlot grapes, blended with some Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Château Puy Mouton and its vineyards like on excellent soils to the south east of saint-emilion. Its winemaker, Catherine Devaud-Pequignot, has aged the wine in American and French oak barrels for 12 months to add body and depth of flavour.

    SERVING: Serve at room temperature to partner such classic dishes as roast beef or lamb, poultry and all the trimmings or a top-quality cheeseboard.

    KEEPING:This wine is ready to drink now but will keep well for another two years, softening and mellowing over time. Store it in a cool, dark place on its side and, once opened, finish within three days.
