ABOUT THIS WINE: An easy-drinking, versatile, modern red, this is made mainly from the Italian variety Corvina, with a little Marzemino and Barbera grapes adding complexity to the blend. The fruit was picked from mature vines near Mantua in Lombardy, close to the edges of Lake Garda, where the climate is mild and temperate. The winemaker was Luciano Piona, owner of La Prendina Estate
SERVING: Serve at room temperature. This wine is smooth enough to be enjoyed on its own, but it is better paired with pasta and tomato sauces, cheesy baked dishes or try it with cured meats.
KEEPING: This wine is ready to drink now or open within 6 months of purchase. Once opened, finish within 2 days, resealing the bottle between servings.
Licensing Act 2003: It is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
