A fresh, fruity, aromatic dry white from southern France with juicy flavours of apples and zesty citrus. Look out for a summery floral hint on the nose
... this is a fat, rounded and full of flavour. Recommended by Victoria Moore, "How to beat the credit crunch" The Guardian, September 2008
An Unusual dry white from Carcassonne in the Languedoc, this is a fat, rounded and full of flavour. A fraction ( 10%) of the wine has been aged in new french oak, which gives a lift and the weight of the bottle has just been reduced. Recommended by Victoria Moore, "How to beat the credit crunch" The Guardian, September 2008
ABOUT THIS WINE: The grapes for this refreshingly different modern white were grown on a single estate in the southern French area around the historic city of Carcassonne. The location of the vineyard means that the 100% Grenache Blanc grapes ripen perfectly to produce a notably fruity and aromatic style. Winemaker Herve Sabardeil has aged a small proportion of the wine in French oak barrels before blending it back to add extra depth of flavour and roundness.
SERVING: Serve lightly chilled, either as mouthwatering aperitif, or try it with grilled or creamy chicken dishes, baked fish like trout, or leafy salads.
KEEPING: Enjoy this wine while it is young and lively. Open within 3 months of purchase and once started, finish in 2 days, resealing the bottle and storing it in the fridge.
Licensing Act 2003: it is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
