More Information

  • ABOUT THIS WINE: The McLaren Vale is well known for its temperate maritime climate, with warm sunny days, cool nights and gentle ocean breezes. This promotes excellent flavour development in the grapes up until the point of harvest. Winemaker Tim Burvill usually picks his Chardonnay just when he sees a tropical fruit character starting to become evident - in other words, earlier than many others in the region. All of which makes for a full-flavoured, ripe yet fresh style of Chardonnay with hints of spicy, creamy complexity. As Tim comments, "I love the fruit-driven purity of McLaren Vale and it has allowed me to craft a newer style of Chardonnay; a leaner, stylish fruit bomb, unhindered by oak."

SERVING: Serve this wine lightly chilled. Its firm, fruity flavours with a hint of creaminess will suit straightforward dishes such as fresh seafood or roast chicken. Alternatively, this style of wine works equally well as an unaccompanied aperitif

KEEPING: Enjoy this wine within a year of purchase. Drink within 2 days of opening and keep re-sealed in the fridge to conserve the wine's freshness

Licensing Act 2003: It is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
