South Australia's historic Barossa Valley, close to Adelaide, is considered one of the most important wine regions in the country. This rich concentrated white, with a racy minerality and fruit with just a subtle hint of wood, shows why Barossa Chardonnays are so highly prized
ABOUT THIS WINE: The Barossa Valley has a wealth of mature vineyards, some in notably dry, sunny areas and others in cooler, higher locations. The grapes for this wine come from several Barossa vineyards, giving a wonderful balance between ripe, rich flavours and fresh, crispness. Winemaker Matt Gant fermented and aged a small proportion of the wine in French oak then blended it back in to add subtle spicy, creamy notes.
SERVING: Serve lightly chilled. This wine is perfect with classic roast chicken, but do try it with fresh seafood or pasta in a rich creamy sauce too.
KEEPING: This wine has been released ready to drink but it will keep in good condition for up to a year after purchase. Once opened, finish within 2 days, resealing the bottle and storing it in the fridge between servings.
Licensing Act 2003: it is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
