As recommended in The Times, Jane MacQuitty, Star Buys on 15 October 2005.

...rich, aromatic Languedoc red... The Guardian, September 2008
...rich, aromatic Languedoc red with violets, black fruits and a hint of minerality. Nice tannins and excellent length. Drink with beef, lamb, pork. The Guardian, September 2008 ABOUT THIS WINE: The grapes for this wine were sourced from the sloping hillsides surrounding the village of la Liviniére, the most renowned part of the Minervois region. The wine has been made from a classic southern French blend of grapes, 40% Syrah, 30% Grenache and 30% Carignan, and aged in French oak barrels for 12 months which has added body and spice. It was made by Gerard Bertrand, a former rugby international, now one of the region's best-known wine producers.
SERVING: Serve this wine at room temperature as an excellent partner for grilled or roasted red meats, especially beef, or try it with roast chicken or turkey and the trimmings. It would also go well with mature hard cheeses.
KEEPING: We have released this wine ready to drink although it will keep well for a further 2 years if stored on its side in a cool, dark place. Once opened, drink up within 3 days, resealing the bottle between servings.
Licensing Act 2003: It is an offence for any person under 18 years to buy or attempt to buy alcohol
