Features

Game Storyline: Mario Golf: Advance Tour tells the story of a young golf trainee at the Marion Golf Club trying to climb the ranks of the local circuit and ultimately become top champion. As your character improves, he or she will be challenged with wild mini-games, hard-fought tournaments and all kinds of golfing diversions. Visit the clubhouse to get tips, practice a few rounds on the links or dive straight into the championship matches - it’s up to you how you play your way to the top!

Characters: You create your own players and improve their golfing skills through extensive training. Then, by connecting to a Nintendo GameCube with Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, you can transfer your custom characters and others back and forth between Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance games. Also, don’t forget about your golfing partner! His or her skills will need to improve at the same rate as yours if you expect to be formidable in the tournaments. The huge cast of characters makes for tough competition!

How to progress through the game: Compete against the various club champions in challenge matches to gain experience and hone your character’s skills. Then, take your game to the increasingly difficult club tourneys in search of trophies and fame. Once your character becomes skilled enough, you might get an invite to the Mushroom Kingdom, where a bunch of familiar faces are waiting to take you on!

Special powers/weapons/moves/features: Players can connect Mario Golf: Advance Tour to Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour on Nintendo GameCube and transfer their characters between the two games. Furthermore, linking up the two games unlocks features within Mario Golf: Advance Tour, so that you can improve your characters even more. Any character transferred from either game can be used in all of the other game’s modes.

Reviewed by: Ally Boy from Glasgow, UK Excellent Fun If you want a good fun game you can pick up and put down as you please, this game is for you. It has quick play and an in-depth story mode. The actual golf play is pretty realistic, better than I thought it would be for a Mario game. The game is tricky and seems to have plenty of scope for a reasonable life span. There seems to be no bugs with the game and everything runs smooth. Overall.. a 5/5 buy!!!
