Contrary to popular post-millennial opinion, being ugly is not always a disadvantage. Because despite today's image-obsessed media, ugly sells. In fact, we reckon ugly is the new beautiful. Why else would physiognomically- challenged multi-millionaires such as Donald Trump and Bill Gates be such babe-magnets? Apart from the millions of pounds thing, of course...
The point is, what one person considers ugly, another considers beautiful. With this perennial dichotomy in mind, we've been on the lookout for something that's fabulously "ugliful" (yes, we made that word up), and wouldn't you just know it, we've gone and found a complete tribe of them!
Ugly Dolls: Huggable!
Uglydolls are a bunch of quirky, colorful characters that have taken the US by storm. Disappearing off the shelves faster than you can say "Cabbage Patch" these huggable, limited edition creatures have created a frenzy of excitement Stateside, and are now set to do the same thing across the entire globe.
Soft and huggable, Uglydolls make great naptime companions and, unbelievable though it is in this age of mass-production, every single pillowy creature is carefully handmade by skilled Chinese artisans.
Part toy, part art collectible, Uglydolls are the buddies of choice for celebs and fashionistas across the States. Über-chic stores such as Barney's of New York can't get enough of the little devils, and they're even being featured at The Museum of Contemporary Art in LA!

There are now ten lovable characters in the range: Ice Bat, Wedgehead, Ox, Uglydog, Mission Black Wedgehead, Mission Black Ice Bat, Ugly Worm, Deer Ugly, Toodee and Big Toe. Each doll has his/her/its(?) own endearing traits, so you can choose an Uglydoll to suit your disposition. For example, Big Toe is very busy and Toodee is curious about everything. Yes, we know it sounds a little weird, but all the best crazes do! Let's be honest, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are hardly normal, are they?
We really can't overemphasise how gobsmackingly trendy Uglydolls are. So order yours before the rest of the world realises it's time to get seriously ugly!

Please note:
- Made from polyester fibre (fleece-like material).
- Ugly Dolls are not recommended for children aged 3 years and under
Dimensions:
- Each Uglydoll measures approximately 11¾"(H).
There are 10 collectible Uglydolls in all:
- Wedgehead - Wedgehead sees things the way you see them...okay, he has to stand on his head to do so, but still!
- Ox - Ox is not a very good listener, but he puts his ears to use in other ways. Tuck them into your shirt and take Ox for a stroll!
- Ice Bat - Ice Bat lives in an ice cave, inside an ice box...
- Uglydog - Bow wow? Big wow. Uglydog doesn't like to beg or sit or stay... none of that stuff. What he would really like is to be just like you!!! Except for the waking up early part.
- Deer Ugly - Deer Ugly lives in the forest where it's nice and quiet. Yeah but deep down, he's thinking: "Please take me home with you!" .The nice quiet forest is great, but Deer Ugly wants to see the world... YOUR world!
- Toodee - TooDee is curious about everything. If he had a nose, it would be in everything. What's this? What's that? TooDee's questions drive Jeero up the wall.
- Big Toe - From what we hear, Big Toe uses his Big Toe to keep ahead of you. He is in the know, and if he sees the opportunity, he will jump at the chance to steal your snacks.
- Ugly Worm - Uglyworms want power. The power to do great and wonderful things. They want your power...
- Mission Black Ice Bat - Ice-Bat lives in the freezer. Yeah but can he crash at your freezer while he's on this whole Ninja mystery mission adventure dealio?
- Mission Black Wedgehead - Wedgehead doesn't really get any of this... why all the sneaking around? Just steal as much food as you can in plain sight, and call it "borrowing".

I am 16 years old and for my bday I got and uglydoll. . I got the special mission ice bat. He is so cool. . I have never seen one of these. I have taken pictures and email them to my friends and they are loving them. . This is the coolest thing I have seen in a while. And its for all ages. And all types of people.

I LOVE Uglydolls! I got my first one (Wedgehead) on my tenth birthday (last year 2006). This year I got for my birthday, Chuckanucku! I don't have any others though.

I love these guys!! I got my first vinyl one last year in New York, and I've been collecting them ever since. All my friends love them too.

I'm way into photography and frequently browse photo gallerys for inspiration. In many pictures I saw these adorable ugly dolls and desided I HAD to figure out what these things were and where I can get one.
For my birthday yesterday my parents got me UglyDog, the cute pink one =) I love him, I took him and showed my boyfriend who, now, I think loves uglydog more than me... lol
...and uglydog tagged along to the movies with me and my friends - he was a huge hit. Amazing little critters. I think I'll get my bf wedgehead for Valentine's Day or something =).

All of my friends had gotten ugly dolls for their birthdays, and I kept on asking for one, but never really got one. Once I had gone to the mall with a group of friends, we went into a store that had ugly dolls. I bought the uglydog with my best friend so that we could even closer to each other! We love our ugly dolls and want to get more until we have to whole collection! They might be called ugly dolls, but I think that they are so cute. My brother-in-law (whom is 6 years older than me) is afraid of them for some reason. ^, ^.
