Verget encourage their growers to reduce yield in order to produce high quality fruit - every wine in their outstanding range is fabulously concentrated as a result. All of these grapes come from vines that are between 60 and 80 years old.

Tasting Notes : Aromatically demure, this Vire-Clesse is a delicately strewn, light to medium-bodied wine. Feminine and pleasing, it offers delightful yet simple flavours of minerals and crisp pears

Producer : Maison Verget

Method of Production : The grapes were sourced from Verget's contract growers based in Viré and Quintaine.. All of the grapes that Verget buy in are manual harvested, the bunches were crushed and gently pressed into three fractions which were vinified separately and only re-united if appropriate to the final blend. The wine matured both in tank and barrel, 10% new oak, before bottling.
