The bin is made of thin plastic that deforms easily. The lid fits very poorly onto the bin so much so that the bin simply drops to the floor if I try to lift it by the lid, and I'm left just holding the lid -- and this is when it's empty. It's definitely not airtight and won't keep anything fresh. Other items I've bought through this website have been great -- but this is the total opposite, and is a complete waste of money. Excellent product posted on 11/11/2008 by TOR This has been an invaluable tool to keep my dog and puppy's food separate and fresh, I choose the Medium 15.4kg as I purchase their food in 15kg sacks and leaves enough room for the scoop.
