Front Surround/ 5.1-Channel Dual System
The TH-D Series offers two modes for enjoying surround sound.
With the Front surround mode, you can set up all the speakers on front of you, yet still experience enveloping audio via virtual L/R surround sound.
Since there’s no need for rear speakers, it is ideal for small rooms, or for people who want less wiring.
The speakers can be mounted on walls, and are designed to bland smoothly with the display.
With the 5.1-channel Surround mode, you can arrange the speakers more conventionally and enjoy full surround sound.
You can switch to the Front Surround mode by just moving the rear speakers up front.
HDMI Connection
The TH-D Series features HDMI single-cable connection for transmitting uncompressed video and audio signals.
It also supports video signal up-conversion to 120p and 1080i, while the TH-D7 features HDMI pass-through, which allows high-quality transmission of HD source contents to a full HD display.
