Brain Trainer Advanced  £29.95

Improve your powers of concentration, memory and reflexes! The unique hand-held Brain Trainer Advanced great fun for all the family! This stylish little unit (no hardware required) features a host of stimulating and fun games and exercises to help you stretch those mental muscles. Measure your Brain Age and Brain Stress - then progress to Pattern Recognition, Memory, Maths, Card Counting and Phone Number tests. You'll want to know your progress in training your brain, to see how well those grey cells are responding to the workout you're giving them. The Brain Trainer Advanced produces a series of graphs which will show you just that, giving your daily, best and average scores over either 30 days or a full year. The Brain Trainer Advanced features a smart LCD screen touch screen and stylus, with which you perform a series of tests and exercises, each of which targets a particular mental function. The first test measures your Brain Age, the quicker your mental reflexes, the 'younger' your brain. The numbers 1 to 25 appear in random positions on the screen. Using the stylus you then touch each number in sequence, starting with 1 and working your way up to 25. The Brain Trainer Advanced will tell you your brain's age, as well its readiness, your degree of brain energy and your brain 'utilisation' score.Move on to Brain Stress, measuring the degree of stress your brain is under, plus your mental agility. You need to match the numbers and letters that appear on the screen in sequence, 1 to A, 2 to B, 3 to C and so on. The numbers and letters change positions at random, and the quicker you identify each number / letter pair, the higher your scores will be.The Training tests provide an all-round mental workout, where instead of moving around various pieces of gym equipment you move around the mental exercises, each one training and honing a different skill or mental ability. The first two exercises in the Testing Set are designed to boost your powers of recall: in Pattern Recognition you reproduce a sequence of numbers that appears on the screen, while in Memory you remember and duplicate numbers and shapes, square, circle, triangle etc. If math’s gave you a headache at school, relax, there’s nothing too strenuous in the Maths Test! The principle behind the Brain Trainer ADVANCED is that your mental agility and cognitive powers are enhanced by the repeated, rapid performing of simple mathematical calculations. In the Card Counting test, every card in a standard pack is given a numerical value, either +1, -1 or 0, which you have to remember. A sequence of three cards will appear on the screen, and all you have to do is add up their numerical 'value', either +1 or -1. Piece of cake, eh?The last test is called Phone Number, which involves memorising and then 'dialling' a series of phone numbers on the on-screen phone pad. Now this really is a skill with an everyday application.
