Nuk Latex Teat Size 1 - Large Feed Hole is suitable for thicker feeds, for babies 0-6 months. The NUK shape is based on scientific studies of infants' orthodontic development and designed to encourage correct oral development.Size 1 is for babies from 0-6 months. Size 2 is for babies from 6 months. NUK teats are available with 3 different feed holes: small for thin liquids i.e. cooled boiled water medium for milk large for hungry babies who need a faster flow rate.

Flat slender neck encourages milking action which aids baby's jaw and palate development. -
The NUK Air System vent helps to prevent the teat collapsing and infant swallowing air - helping to prevent colic. On NUK latex teats the vent is an oblique slit across the dimple. It is important that the vent is under the baby's nose whilst feeding. - Flat underside ensures correct positioning of tongue encouraging milking action. This helps widen jaw allowing correct spacing for tooth development.
- Surface angled to enable the baby to make a milking action with the lower jaw.
Inspect teat immediately before and after each use and throw away when worn, damaged or punctured, for example, by biting. Before use, wash thoroughly and sterilise. Always wash immediately after use. Sterilise in baby bottle sterilising solution according to the sterilising solution manufacturers' instructions, or by means of boiling water for at least 5 minutes or use a steam steriliser. Keep teat in a dry covered container. Do not leave teat in sunlight when not in use. INFANTS MUST NOT BE BOTTLE FED WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION.
