Daktacort HC Cream is used to treat fungal skin infections such as sweat rash or athletes foot when you have additional symptoms of inflammation (such as sweating, redness and itching. Sweat rash (candidal intertrigo, or thrush of the skin folds) is a sore, itchy red rash found in areas where the skin rubs together e.g below or between the breasts, underarms, top of legs or the groin or other skin areas. Athlete's foot is a fungal skin infection causing soreness, itching and flaking between the toes or on the soles or side of the feet.
Apply a small amount to the affected areas twice a daily. Do not use for longer than seven days. If symptoms persist or do not start to improve within seven days, tell your pharmacist or doctor. You should make sure that you carefully read all product packaging and labels prior to use
Miconazole nitrate 2% w/w, Hydrocortisone acetate equivalent to hydrocortisone 1% w/w.
Do not use this cream: if you are allergic to any similar ceams or to any of the ingredients in this medicine. You may be allergic to the product if you have a rash or itching at the side of infection which gets worse after you apply the cream. For any skin problems such as cold sores, acne, herpes, chicken pox or shingles. If the skin is broken. On large areas of the your body or under dressings, unless your doctor has told you to do so. For more than seven days. On your face or eyes. On areas of skin affected by eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis unless your doctor had told you to do so. For children under 10. On the anal or genital area. TO treat ring worm. To treat any other infections which occur as a result of your original infection.
