The reason for the recent rise in popularity of Spanish Brandy can be seen in Bobadilla - light and fruity in style with great quality for the price.

Tasting Notes : A pale, fragrant brandy with fruity flavours and aromas and a balanced, warming, smooth finish.

Producer : Osborne

Method of Production : Wines made from the Arien grape, distilled in a continuous still produced a spirit at 78%abv that was solera aged for at least a year. The solera consisted of nurseries of 500ltr American oak barrels previously used in fino sherry production. The solera is a means of fractional blending where young fresh, fruity brandies were combined with older more complex spirits. While blending in the solera the brandy also mellowed, it was diluted to 36%abv for sale.

Bobadilla 103

I first came across this brandy in Javea and was told it is smoother than French brandy/cognac. It's so true - smooth and creamy.
